Rivet Nuts

Rivet Nuts, also known as nutserts, and rivnuts are a female threaded nut used in sheet metal and composite material. Installed from one side to create a permanent and reusable thread.

Rivet Nuts are easy to install using tools similar to that used for pop rivets. Simply place the fastener into a pre-drilled or punched hole, and when pulling up, using the installation tool, you will see how the Rivet Nuts body expands, compresses, and locks into place. Rivet Nuts are ideal when the material is too thin or brittle to support a bolt on its own.

Note: If installing only one to two nuts it is possible to get away with using a setscrew, nut and washer to compress the Rivet Nut.
