    Girling started as a car brake manufacturer in 1925, when Albert H. Girling patented a wedge-actuated braking system.

    Girling brake manufacture was taken over by Lucas in 1938. Lucas then moved their Bendix brake and Luvax shock absorber programmes into a new division, which then became Girling Ltd.

    Girling Classic have developed a range of high quality braking and suspension products to mirror the integrity and quality of the original Girling product portfolio.
