10G x 1 Wood Screw Countersunk Silicon Bronze Slot
I was restoring an 1800s Captains Swivel Chair. These screws really look the part & seem strong. My only misgiving is the lengths available, from memory there was 1" 1.75" or 2". I think that it's way too big a gap to go from 1 to 1.75 & meaninglessly too little between 1.75" & 2" maybe 1.5 or even 1.25 would have been better. I find a good approach to sizing most things is to use a constant multiplier to have finer graduations in the smaller sizes. For example, if you want double the length every 2 intervals you would multiply root 2. That wound give you approximately: 0.5, 0.7, 1, 1.4, 2, 2.8, 4 etc. That gives you a good range with the fewest product sizes which allows a supplier to keep inventory short while offering a satisfying product range for customers. I'd say the same for the round heads that I purchased as well. If you had these in a good range of sizes, I'd never ever buy brass again as these are about twice as strong & look fantastic. Regardless, they look great & the client is really impressed that I went to the trouble & expense with these screws to preserve the antique appearance of her chair, even though they are underneath & out of sight. It's these little touches that customers find so very satisfying.
